Okay this is a follow on from the southern softie thread as it got a bit long here are the details :


max 6 inc me meet point is Ower services A36 9am depart 9.30 latest [ large carpark next to petrol station NOT Mcdonalds]

This is a open meet with mainly back B roads scenic stuff with stops aplenty up to The shaftesbury drove then over to Tollard Royal and zig zag hill to shaftesbury then across to Tellfont area before riding to Westbury and the north perimeter road onto the plain across to Burbage by gravel trails.



Then upto Marlborough and westwood [ trail with dogs and horses] and B roads back to Amesbury and if the plain is open a little more fun before B roads back across forest to Cadnam..

ive enclosed the 2 gpx files with the plain bit missing as thats a surprise ...

This is a leisurely ride out at folks own pace but I do stick to speed limits [ hgv driver so cant afford to loose my licence ]

so far its me and Danand......Road tyres will be fine and a sence of humor.

Sounds like fun Russ, I would have loved to have joined you on this one, but im riding round the East Coast from Hemsby to Hunstanton, following the coast road as much as possible! Please do another one sometime, oh and ill bring the Lardy Dars!!!!!!

Re your question on tyres I am running Metzeler Karoo Street (70/30) front and rear on the Africa Twin .

If there round and black and not slicks they will be fine...

No more southern softies then or even wimps interested its a grand day out gromet.

Thanks for the open invite. I am in Bristol and would be up for this another time (keen to get some riding in). Unfortunately I am currently in the process of changing bikes so can’t do this weekend.

Hope you enjoy and will watch out for a next time (or even happy to arrange a next time if that would be helpful).

Ni probs and sure some of the bristolians would appreciate a bimble... I may even venture out for the day come october... Keep us all enformed

Thanks for a great ride out today. It had a bit of everything and the advice was really helpful, I throughly engoyed it.

No probs maybe the army will let us on the plain as it was total lock down all areas which is kinda a first.. Still we had fun road and trails suits me fine..
