Yeah John, well attended and all seemed to have a good time.
Pleased you got home eventually. The weather didn't turn really bad and I left the site last in a clean condition, thanks to all who kept it clean.
Two really brilliant nights round the fire and only about a bag of wood left.
Again its the same old story, you can organise an event BUT its the people that come that make the event successful............and they certainly did this year.
Thanks to all who came for making it a great weekend and last minute camp fees mean that I can donate on your behalf £120 to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

just to inform those that want to know
the problem with the BMW R8GS was the rotor ,,,, a common fault it seems ,
parts are ordered should be fixed by the weekend

Shame I couldn't make it--looks like you missed most of the weekend rain. Just curious on the R80 GS--did the charge light not show a fault (i.e. stay red)? On our earlier G/S it works but takes a good blip to get it showing a charge i.e. to go out.

Re: Ecky Thump Rally 11 to 13 October
also key to make sure the charging light is red with ignition on--could be just the bulb--and somewhere in the recesses of my brain cell I think if that circuit isn't complete through the charging light then the field windings are not activated and the generator doesn't charge--all because of a blown bulb--I could be wrong of course but worth checking out.
