No clue part 2 or would it be 3. Salisbury plain

Planning a little soiree, then post it up here. And please, no commercial stuff, this forum is about people not products or services - send us a press release.

No clue part 2 or would it be 3. Salisbury plain

Post by zimtim »

A good few years back a ride out was organised by some of the old hands.
The idea of the event was to give new comers to off road riding and new comers to the forum a days riding on Salisbury plain with some helpful hints and tips.

But mostly it was just a great day out and a chance to meet other members.

Now the plain is closed until end of June for exercises.
Then in July there's the ABR rally

So how about organising something for early August.
Once SPTA has released dates for August we can decide on a date.

So for now who would be interested
1) attending
2)leading a ride or Tec
3) provide .gpx routes
4) what and where to camp for those that will travel

I don't like big groups so would like to limit the rideouts of 6-8 as big groups can become painfully slow.
Any other suggestions.

Definitely Interested.
Husky 701 or WR250, Only been once before and that was on me tod.
Don't have any .gpx routes but I have a map I have marked out.
No problem being TEC and don't mind camping out unless it's pissing down and cold
Not fast these days, but will try anything once.

P.S.I also have no clue

I can lead a ride August and the Plain is normally pretty quiet then with Imber being open too.
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.

This will be open to all riders and class of bike(road legal of course)

At moment we have 3 potential ride leaders
Herman
Stewie
Zimtim

So we can easily have
Advanced
Intermediate
Beginner

Big bike
Medium bike
Little bike.

Nearer the time I will start organise groups etc and give people the choice of group they want to go with. So the more the merrier
This was the original. All in I think about 40riders turned up
