Re: Ullapool
If you're going up the A87 past Eilean Donan then at Sheil Bridge take the left turn for the Glenelg ferry, then the next right towards Totalg and enjoy 5 miles of varied road surface alongside Loch Duich which ends up opposite the castle. Different riding style needed compared to the A87 on the opposite bank. Close enough to it to hear if the piper is playing, but away from the tourist hoards. Then turn around and head back to the A87

If that's the road that takes you down past the hostel to the white house at the end of the road, just don't, or you'll be wishing you didn't.Oop North John wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 7:27 am

Locked gate, so I didn't see if there was a white house at the end of the road. View across to the castle on Google Earth:RandG wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 9:17 amIf that's the road that takes you down past the hostel to the white house at the end of the road, just don't, or you'll be wishing you didn't.Oop North John wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 7:27 am
