Be aware of the Witley road trial on Sunday, lots of bikes out on the TET lanes in the Petersfield/Alton/Basingstoke area, may not be going in the same direction as you!
Gonna be a beautiful weekend if my weather man is even half right, enjjoy.

Well none is actually off road, but you mean unsurfaced tracks, which in the UK I doubt even a quarter of the overall UK TET is on anything but Tarmac, as most land in Britain is owned by Farmers or Toffs and so called public land is deemed out of bounds to most vehiculer activities unless you are a (you guessed it) Farmer or Toff
Other countries facilitate more freedom (and fun) of course.

Pah it would romp it especially the root step at the top. Although I did the Whitley 100 on an xtr660 and that made it up with a fair bit of paddling. Have a good ride tomorrow.Ksithumper wrote: ↑Sat Oct 20, 2018 8:34 am Herman, just take the xt1200 up Butser hill....that will keep you occupied most of the day
The secret of a long life is knowing when its time to go.
Dover to Salisbury TET ride
Didnt make it to salisbury, but made it to basingstoke
Husqvarna 701

Sat(255 miles total), 06:30 - tear down to dover, 92 miles on the motorway, then follow the TET for another 163 miles to chichester and setup camp.
163 miles of TET produced 150.98 mins of gopro video( offroading )
Sunday(148miles total), 11:00 was enjoying the morning warmth (froze to death in my tent overnight) - TET to Basingstoke for 75 miles then another 72 miles on the m3 through london to get home.
72miles of TET produced 146 mins of gopro video ( offroading )
Clearly day 2 had twice the amount of off-road for half the distance
Conclusion : ignore the TET from Dover to Portsmouth, it’s all just road and even the road part can be improved, i was really surprised to see at least 6 lanes had TRO’s
My ass is still feeling like it’s sunburned at 10pm while i’m writing this, i need a better seat for me 701!
I would definately do dover to basingstoke on my Africa Twin, nothing too hairy sofar

Re: Dover to Salisbury TET ride
I live down in Kent and have been out on some of the TET.I was thinking Of doing the same as you really solo ride over two days on the TET hassle free and no need to plane a route.
