Re: ABR Yule Tide rally 7th -8th -9th December 2018
Another Yule Tide Rally under our belt.
Well done to all those that braved the wind and rain to join us.
Thanks to those that brought items for the auction and to those that Piad good money to buy them.
The auction raised over £ 450 and overall the Air Ambulance should receive over £ 900
As usual this event wouldn’t happen without Devon John , the sat night food went down so well there was none left for him !!
Hope you all appreciated Big Bertha, my oil drum wood burning stove, all the heat with none of the Smoke !
Only one breakdown on the ride out, luckily international rescue in a Freelander and trailer we’re available to scoop him up, luckily his bike started on Sunday morning and he got back to Wales.
We even had a visit from Big ALL, he plucked up the courage to come over the Severn bridge, know we know we are on the map !
Roll on the next one
Tim

The Wood Burner was superb Tim and made all the difference providing a great place to keep warm and without any smoke.

Brilliant weekend thank you John, Tim and every one else who made it happen.
First time down to this one and will defiantly be back, good food, beer company what's not to like.
Didn't fancy 4hr ride on windy boring motorway home so headed cross country for a bit, got back got back in 10rs later after probaly
the best ride of the year, even took in some greenlanes enroute.
Was expecting a bit of a cool reception but instead a hot bath, hot dinner and Goodwood revival tickets were waiting for me, not
a bad ending at all.
Thanks again John, I know there's a lot of time and effort going on behind the scenes to a make this happen and i for one fully appreciate it.
See you at the Malvern,
Cheers,
Richard.

I would just like to add my thanks also for another great weekend. The fire worked a treat meaning we could actually see who we were talking to, the chat with new and old folks was enlightening and the food was simply spot on!
Thanks to Rob for leading the ride out, I especially enjoyed watching his 'Go for It' approach to crossing fords
I think the wind was behind me as I was home in 4 hours including fuel stops
Roll on Malvern Rally.
Cheers all
Dave

What a fantastic weekend on the Yuletide rally.
My first ever, but definitely not my last.
Nice to meet some new faces, and catch up with some old friends.
A Big thanks to Devon John for the grub on Friday night, unfortunately missed it on Saturday night as myself and Vic had to do an emergency ABS fluid change on an R80 Gs in the Thatchers Arms until just after 7pm.
It was a great call sleeping in the huts, but some one was snoring far louder than I ever could. (You know who you are. Lol ). Tim. Next time please stop me bidding against myself linda has threatend to put me in the back bedroom with all my auction stuff.
All in all was a great weekend.
Thanks to you guys you made it all possible.
Big Al.
