Stella Alpina 2018

Post by waynecoluk »

Anybody on here going to the Stella Alpina Rally? Weekend of the 7th and 8th July.
I've done a trawl through the site and it doesn't seem to be mentioned this year.
Has anybody been before and is it worth going? I've got a weeks pass to go away and this is an option.

Cheers

Been twice - it is a good event to do and a great area to ride

Look out for info as some of the trails are closed on certain days which can be annoying if you get it wrong

If you stay at Bokki camping say hello to Markus - smallish Swiss guy with a 1200 GS ... great guy (always there)

Say hello from Joel please

Enjoy ... great roads to get there also
If a Hammer don't fix it - you have an electrical problem

I was up there yesterday , there has been record amounts of snow this year.
At present you can just get to the camp site , after crossing a snow field.
Second pic is about 4 hairpins up from lake ImageImage

Myself and Chris are still going Ian but looking at that second picture we won't be getting anywhere near the top
It would be a good bimble for you Ian if you fancy it
