Saturday muddy ride out around Alton,Hampshire

Right....ive got rid of the wife for a week so i`m sneaking out on the saturday doing a loop on the byeways around Alton with lunch in a nice cafe , start point is a laybay...where you meet the nicest folks...van parking available just off m3 Basingstoke..

date is saturday sept 9th....the trails are rutted , narrow and overgrown ...some serious mudd if its rained...this is not suitable for big Bmw bikes as they will loose a cylinder :lol: :lol: ...ktm okay if your man enough and like to sweat like a pig....knobblys are a must ...thats knobs not dual sport tyres...

depart time is 9.30am finish mid afternoon latest 4pm....we have done this route after moonsoon rain in early october and only 3 out of 8 went...pussys...

max in group is 6 inc me ....


new gpx file for the day...some ive not done but have checked legailty :roll: :lol: ....

Oh, it was good fun last time :) One of the early outings on my dearly departed 690 IIRC. I think I've still got the track-log on the GPS.

I'd be up for it again. I'll trailer up the 450 and lock it to the car, so I'll park where you suggest the vans go, off the M3.

Okay...seems its a popular ride so we are provisionly Full....and lunch stop is the cafe in Alton by train station unless anyone knows of something better....

Im also tweaking the track to included some TeT tracks......

ive updated the gpx file to include some unkown stuff :o :lol:


the meet point is the layby off the A339 south of M3 ..its on a sharp bend access from both ends at Winslade

51.232450, -1.066711 from google maps

i will whatsapp folks my mobile number...Acp knows the spot :P

Better grub at Loonies cafe at West Meon, south of Alton , A32/A272 intersection. Fuel there too.
