Got back home at around 11.40 am. Bloody cold ride down the A1-A1M. Good weekend with some great lads and lasses. Not bothered with unloading the bike yet, that can wait for another day. That was some wind last night eh?
Nick.
PS.--Found me sock buried at the bottom of my sleeping bag.

Great weekend. Thanks for the great banter. My 7 mates and I had a brilliant time. They weren't sure but every one of them said how much they enjoyed it.
Cheers

A great weekend--challenging conditions !--Fortunately I took my Black's tunnel and that stood up to the wind well--apart from the noise--got less when that bike cover next door blew away! I tried a 38 quid Chinese down bag--4 season rated to -20C--superb and cosy (you don't have to pay 200 quid for one!). Considering the 2000 BC facilities we coped well-loved the toilets--sound effects of the drop and a blow dry at the same time!-and an amazing stew and hog roast in the conditions--and the guy who ran the bar outside--a hero!. Many thanks to those who organised and ran it--I was cold enough just getting back to the Midlands with Darryl--and I had to switch the heated vest on--as for Devon John going all that way--epic. Got home around midday and enough time and dry weather to dry the tent, air the sleeping bag, wash the bike--etc--and then have a shower! (I don't like leaving salt on the bike for any length of time as it WILL eat everything--even dry salt dust corrodes)
