Off to Ullapool
Off to Ullapool
To my disappointment just could not make time for Red Erics Strontian run due to other commitments so as iam on Holidays next week ive decided to try a run from Belfast/Cairnryan up the West coast hopefully stopping at a guest house Monday night around Ullapool {shoulder is not up to camping yet}. Was going with a mate but he canceled as he dosent like the cold so if anyone spots this bike say hellow (thumbs)
Re: Off to Ullapool
Never meet you Mac, but I know rederic very well, have followed posts about your accident and subsequent recovery with interest,
So glad to hear your back on the bike and confident enough to head up north, I'm also missing rederic's do this weekend, gutted, but hope to get up north later in the year, sit safe.

Re: Off to Ullapool
Ride safe Mac60 - we've experienced all sorts of weather whilst riding the NC500 this weekend, and I mean all sorts
I rode through Ullapool this afternoon and was suprised by how quiet it was.
Not me and not Ullapool, but not that far north of the town

Re: Off to Ullapool
Pack your thermals, cold forecast but at least last weeks winds have gone and not much rain.Have fun! (thumbs)
Re: Off to Ullapool
Back home to N Ireland yesterday after my quick trip to Scotlands west coast. I was lucky with the weather as id no rain even though it was cool in the mornings/evenings but nothing my thermals couldent cope with unlike the unlucky couple i meet in Ullapool whos heated gear had failed. Made me think simple may be best in some circumstances. My injurys were well tested with a 400 mile day and just over 1000 miles from garage door to garage door. Great wee tester trip and just what the Doc diddent order lol.
