ABC try trials weekend

Post by cowling »

ABC are having a try trials weekend ! (thumbs)

Houndsgill farm, consett , co. Durham, DH8 9AA. 22nd and 23rd April.

Its a working farm bunkhouse with land behind , which we have the use of for the duration of our stay
Land is for the trials bike use only, its used by local clubs for competitions, so good for all abilities.

A few of us ride local trials and will be donating our bikes for the weekend for you to play on, thanks to
Scooby, cowling, kenny, beta evo, beta rev3, mont 4rt, Sherco, and maybe a beamish Suzuki 250.

Planning on sole use of the bunkhouse, it sleeps 12 , when that's full there's a possibility of a couple more
To kip in vans as they have a few touring caravan pitches U can pull the vans on .so maybe 15 max.

£35 p/p for Fri and sat night , cold breakfast is included , they have a kitchen area seating 12 if anyone
Wants to cook their own, also have a tea room/ café there, open 9-4 for a fry up. Might arrange for them
To cook us something if there is enough interest. Eat/drink in and stay local Fri night taxi to Durham on sat.

Aiming to arrive early Fri afternoon, play/practice Fri afternoon and sat morning, then maybe an ABC trials
Competition between ourselves on sat afternoon/sun morning, should be a laugh !

22nd 23rd April

That sounds awesome, not a good weekend for me though as I'm with my daughter. Gutted really as I keep dreaming about trials bike and I've always wanted to try one.

I was going to write something about it being 312miles away but I thought you would all take the p!ss for not being adventurous enough.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Hi Ry, got to be a reduced price if u kip in the van, I was fancying trying mine for the first time but may need it to lock the bikes in. Sure we can sort something out, dependant on how many is in the bunk house really.

Hi Guys, sounds fun so count me in please. Cowling - have pm'd you re payment. Is there a
"collective sinking fund" to pay for any damage to the bikes ?
As Tea is not present (so far) will this be a dry weekend or is there a local brew to be
sampled ?
