Yes it is . The sat. tour (off road/onroad) is organised by a foreigner who knows the country better than the Corkonians. Gtear wkndMoorso wrote:Lovely part of the country.....close to Glengarriff and Bantry

I followed the link to the pub as I'll be in Ireland. Any more details as I couldn't find anything about it?

That place looks good. Those fires will be great after a day on the bike.
But we need details on the weekend. Is this organised? Is so by whom? What?

Re: corker wknd in Cork.
I will have a look at this, I live in Cork. Its on the main road from Cork to Killarney, great food and atmosphere, excellent parking too and right in the middle of some great roads.
Anyone travelling from afar can go Pembroke or Fishguard to Rosslare then take N25 west to Cork and keep heading west from Cork. Allow about 4 hours ride time. Lots of good stopping places on the way, its not motorway and its a nice run.
Alternative is Holyhead to Dublin, take motorway M7 and M8 to Cork, [again allow about 4 hours] or skip the motorway and take N7 and N8 at a slightly slower pace. You will get there as quick because the traffic will be on the motorway route.
From Scotland you can go into Larne or Belfast and again its motorway all the way from Belfast to Cork, about 5 hours ride time but can be done in less.
If you have good weather its a great place to be. A lovely back road to Kenmare, also Healy Pass and down to Lauragh and on to Kenmare.....
