sounds good, but as I don't have as settle life as majority here, the rally will probably be fully booked before I knew if I could attend, as usual :S

although if I were you I would avoid August, too much distractions already during that month.

As others have said I'd try and avoid August, along with other rallies going on you've also got school holidays to contend with.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your comments on here and for those from people in Ullapool this weekend.

I fully understand that people suggest August is a bad month but it presents a better chance of getting on the plain as the army also go on holiday in August.

So it does not clash with the Lymington or midlands rally i will look at the 2nd weekend in August.

I'm now going to go through the admin stuff so i can hopefully call it an ABR rally.

But for now here is what i have confimred:-

A site for about 200 tents at a local football club.

24hr toilets and showers.

A bar..not sure about food yet but a takeaway and shop 2 mins walk away.

Some form of music on the Saturday night..no it won't be me with a ipod.

Maybe a large camp fire..still working on this one.

I am planning on 3 ride outs on the saturday.

1 will be for harcore offroad and i need a leader for this who knows the plain very well.

1 will be for easy plain trail riding and i can lead this.

1 will be a road trip out to compton Abbas airfield for tea and medals.

There should be something for everybody. Or if the weatehr is not great i can take a walking history tour of Salisbury.

Thats all for now so if i get the ABR nod i'll start a proper sign up thread.
