1967 Triumph TR6R Trophy for sale

Post by DavidS »

Ok, not exactly an adventure bike but I am having to sell my two Triumphs (See also other advert) due to knee problems but the hopeful solution is a KTM 1190 Adventure so the link is there.

1967 Triumph Trophy - US bike re-imported in 2000.
Engine runs strongly and has proved totally reliable.
Reluctantly selling as my right knee is too far gone to kick start it now even though it starts first or second kick.
Bike is for use, no show queen so priced accordingly (and hopefully sensibly), with matching numbers and most of the chassis in original condition.
I bought it with new wheels and various other updates and I had the tank, mudguards, side lanel and oil tank repainted plus fitted correct bars, levers etc and new concentric carb. Pushrod tube seals recently replaced.
£6500 ono

PM me in first instance. Bike is in East Sussex.

Nice bike, Dave!

I think you can advertise for FREE in Classic Bike.

Thanks Richard.
I’m on Autotrader Bikes and Car & Classic websites for now as we are away for the first 3 weeks of March so magazines don’t tie in at the moment. Nothing worse than someone advertising something and then not replying.

That's a lovely example at a decent price.
You could also try Old Bike Mart. There's not much activity at the moment, wrong time of year.

Forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder.
I appreciate it’s the wrong time but I might pick the early bite.
More interested in selling the Street Twin to maximise buying power for the replacement so I have something comfy to ride in the spring.
I can leave the Trophy for a bit if necessary.

I had an email from someone that saw the ad but is not a member ...
They got my details from my bike sale ad.

Apologies for the imposition I took your email address from your bike sale advert on ABR and wondered if you could help me.

I am not a signed up member but regular reader. I would like to contact Davids selling the Triumph TR6R as I would like further information and wondered if you would be so kind as to pass on my contact details to him via PM on page 3 of the for sale forum.

Many thanks in advance. Good Luck with your own sale.

Hi and oops.
Forgot I had posted it here...bike was sold a few weeks ago after it bit the leg that didn’t have enough knee power to start it.

By the way, it was my 690 Enduro you looked at a couple of years ago.

Yes mate I recall ... we came very close

I ended up buying a 66 plate from Scotland with a very good list of extras ... paid quite a bit for it but I am quite happy

The Yamaha that I turned up on is just about sold now

Get well soon ... keep on biking (nice to hear you are going Orange again)

Glad to see you got sorted.
Leg pretty much healed but I ended up going black, not orange. I don’t need a 140bhp bike to pootle around south east England, much as the idea was good. Still got the Husky.
