Hi,i had one of these tanks on my DRZ400S It is the IMS tank and it holds 15.1 litres. You use the original fuel tap but on my S model i took off the potentially troublesome vacuum operated tap(you need to blank off the vacuum take off port on the carb) and put the standard E model gravity tap. I shortened my standard fuel hose and it fitted no problem. This model fits the E model as well but you just remove the metal bracket from the top of the tank which the bracket on the s model seat locates into and fit the E model fitting from the standard tank that the rubber securing strap fits to. This tank has had the extra bracing brackets fitted to the underside(optional extra) This helps support the front of the tank which is quite heavy when full. These tanks can cost over £300 when purchased in the UK so grab it quickly. This tank also protects the radiators when fitted. I did have a bit off a problem lining up the lower tank to radiator mounting bolts but this was because one of my radiators had taken a hit and twisted.Forgot to say you need to save the DRZ400s rear tank mounting rubber bushes and fit them to the aluminium brackets on the back of the IMS tank.

Hi Dave, thanks to Frenchy we now know :D The tap has already been converted and the bracket are there to fit it straight onto a 'S' model.

Long time no hear Dave, hope you're both keeping well.

cheers, Bob.
