Alas, my plans have changed and my DRZ400 is up for sale.
The bike has been cherished since I bought it just under a year ago.
I’ve spent more time spannering the bike than using it in the hope of making it a useable and reliable enduro and off road tourer for routes such as the TET and ACT route in Portugal (this summers planned trip now cancelled!)
The bike is showing 1,980 miles but at some point I believe the clocks have been replaced during it’s life. Mileage over the last two years MOTs;
2017 – 1,722 miles
2018 – 1,777 miles
The bike was purchased by myself in November 2018, however my plans have since changed and the bike is now for sale. Since buying the bike the following modifications have been completed;
- Full service including oil and filter (receipt for work included)
- Carb stripped, cleaned and serviced with an All Balls rebuild kit installed (receipt for work included)
- PAR removed and vac line to carb blanked (common modification)
- Starter motor tested and good
- All electrics tested and good
- Indicators swapped out for LED
- LED tail tidy installed
- Answer Pro Taper SE bars and risers installed
- Polisport handguards installed
- Renthal tapered grips installed
- AdTek bash plate installed
- MotoArbo front sprocket cover installed
- DRZ E fork swap completed
- Installation of shorty adjustable levers in blue
- Removed kill switch to prevent knocking while riding/falling!
The bike is sporting Michelin T63 tyres front and rear with lots of life left in them, please see photos. The same can be said about the chain and sprocket also.
I’ve a number of extras for the bike which can be negotiated with once a sale is agreed (IMS tank for example).
