Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 Trail bike
Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 Trail bike
Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 1998
This is one of the old school style trail bikes, not an enduro, nice low seat, very light at 110kgs and with a 6 speed box is good for 70 plus on the road but still low geared enough for off road, only reason I'm selling as not long after getting it I got the chance of a Beta Alp, a bike I've wanted for a while so bought it and this is surplus. I replaced the sprag clutch with a brand new kawasaki part when I got it then rebuildt the brakes with new pads, front and back, new chain and just had oil and filter changed. Starts on the button no bother and nice n comfy, a previous owner rode across America on it, theres a write up for it on line and I have a copy along with all the MOT's back to when it was imported, the import doc, the origianl bill of sale etc.
Its done 35000km or 21000 miles, all original and with it still having the standard exhaust is super stealthy and quiet, Kings tyres with good tread and seem to grip well enough both on tarmac (never tried wet tarmac though) or on the Cumbrian Trails.
Looking for £1695 ono or swap for something interesting which I don't really need but never mind. Might be able to help with delivery if required.
Its not pristine as its a trail bike but looks tidy enough from 5 foot away, all original and all working.
Located near Penrith in Cumbria CA11
Any questions feel free to ask.

Re: Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 Trail bike
Great trail bikes for beginners or the vertically challenged.
Had one so my 5ft3 wife could give trail riding a go.
Had it for 3 years, she rode it twice. I rode it loads.
Miss the thing but it was too small for me.
This one is a better colour that the plain snot green one I had.

Yes ideal for those not blessed in the leg dept such as myself, just realised the MOT is due next month so I can MOT it for anyone wanting to purchase, it will sail through, think its only done about 300 miles since the last one. I can also help with delivery if needed depending on how far.

Fantastic bike and these bikes don,t come up this often. I was looking for one a while ago but ended up with a DRZ400s as i couldn,t find one. In hindsight at six foot four tall the Super Sherpa may have been on the snug side for me. Good luck with the sale though.

Worth putting on the TRF site?
I can, and put a link to this thread if you like?

Re: Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 Trail bike
IT should be on the trf site on Facebook already, at least I thought I had put it there.

Re: Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 Trail bike
- just a bump--I have one and its better than a Beta Alp!--either the 200 or the 350. Mine is reasonably stock--I can also do a carbon fibre/kevlar bashplate to replace the flimsy stock aluminium thing--which also doesn't protect the alternator outlet very well. Spares are easy enough and the stock suspension is also pretty good .

I don't look at the TRF FB site...I was thinking of the forum replacement bit on the TRF website...difficult to keep a track of it all now, sadly.
