Rally style screen for BMW Dakar 2005

Post by 990Duck »

Does any one know where I can get a more upright screen for my Dakar, the standard screen is more akin to a sports bike and the after market one that came with the bike was designed by the people that make chocolate fire gaurds. :)

I ended up making my own. I used a wuderlich touring screen as a mould and laid up a few layers of carbon kevlar. The screen has some spacers behind which really helps (me) with the airflow.

Cheers Dansin. I might see if I can adapt the rally screen off my old 990.
Glad to I'm not the only one with a Dakar :)

If you’re prepared to ditch the dash and do a bit of fabrication, a cut down triumph explorer screen also works.
