Re: For Sale - Honda 1975 CB500/4 K1 UK model
That brings back some very nice memories. January 1975 I bought a Candy Gold CB500-4, exactly as the one in the photos.
In 2 years it covered most of the roads in Ireland, rotted out the exhausts, acquired a full fairing, a satin black CB750-4 tank [bigger and a straight fit]and black side panels, engine bars, rear sets, clip ons shocks and a few tuning parts..... [all originals were kept] but even better it could scrub a rear tyre in 2,000 miles...... Best of all was those 2 summers of 75 and 76 were the longest hottest summers we ever got. I put a lot of miles on it but it never needed anything other than consumables and routine service. Always felt like it would go on forever and so easy to service. For some tappets seem a painful means of valve adjustment but so easy to do blindfold and very accessible.
A great buy for the collection I think.
