There are plenty of people who ride them and don't have an issue.
There's also plenty high mileage bikes around.
Just ask Noah Horak or Lyndon Poskitt.
It's a High performance package, therefore needs maintenance to suit, you don't buy a porsche and then then use budget tyres or cheapo fuel...

Does anyone know if there will be a 2018 model?, this is on my now very short list for my next bike.
As I understand it, apart from more frequent service intervals (not a worry for me), the only common problem is with broken rocker arms and rocker arm beaings, is that it, or is more to it?.
Mike it's clear you regard them as a heap of trouble and from you seem to be very experienced and knowledgeable on the subject of large off roaders so I would appreciate a run down on the negatives - honest question.
I won't be buying till next year and it will probably be the last New bike I buy.

I think you have to go the Husky 701 route as I understand that there won't be a 690 anymore.

Funny all the bashing but i do know of a 690 that has 5k in it but had be rebuilt after ring cracked
Mike is a bit of anti 690, but from here and ktm forum he has shown plenty of experience so I personally dont take his opinions as rubbish he knows his stuff
Sadly though its closest to the do ot all bike and that's what i am after
If the budget allowed if have 990 and 350 exc or freeride
