Hi,see your other post but this sounds a good deal for the spec of the bike,as i mention use a low starting price to avoid putting people off but when i sold my F800gs the bidding jumped straight to the reserve price of £4000 almost immediately.

If I put the bike on eBay will our Euro zone friends see it?
Would I be right in thinking taking PayPal is a bad idea?

Im was thinking a auction with a 4K reserve and a 5K plus buy it now.

Thanks

About 1" lower than standard after it was set up at hyperpro and even lower still with the Xcountry wheels on!
I've got a 32' inside leg and have no problems handling it.

Hi Ian,

Sorry to hear about your divorce, never easy.

Thee's a guy here at the HISS now who was talking abbey eating an X-Challenge and disappearing of ever finding one!

He lives in Rugby so you're almost neighbours. He's out on then trails now but I'll tell him as soon as he gets back - if he gets back of course!

Meanwhile, for the rest of you: I know this bike from Ians' stay a the HISS in 2014 - lovely machine and a good owner! (thumbs)

I'm not an expert in Paypal buy got fleeced once by inadvertantly using the invoice feature as opposed to an informal transfer ...

Re selling in Europe the exchange is phenomenally good for selling in Sterling prices. Try asking davupright, he has a business importing bikes into France. In fact that reminds me of a French friend who's been on the looking out for some years ...

Ebay.fr is little used and not much respected in France, even though it is has much better funtionality and features than leboncoin. Leboncoin is France's version of Craig's List and everyone uses it. However there are a number of tricks and knacks to using it. I can help you with those if you choose to advertise in France - just send me a PM.
