BMW X Country shock wanted - stock or aftermarket - any condition.

Post by jim-500 »

As title really, looking for a stock or aftermarket shock for the x country 650. Don't even need a spring, just the shock will do if needs be.

Thanks

I've got one but the damper is f***ed. And it's here in Spain but you can have it if you want.

There's one on ebay; link below.

Not sure what it is really worth though, as may be better going for a budget Wilbers if you have to pay too much.

The state of the chain doesn't bode too well for any other part form that bike!

Totally agree about the Wilbers option, the Sachs unit was shite and fitting the cheapest Wilbers has greatly improved the bike both off and on road.

The ad says there was no interest in the bike. Huh?
These things sell like hot cakes.

Yep I saw the one on eBay and thought much the same - the condition of the rest of it makes me think the shock is not going to be much better.

Thanks for the offer Simon, I may come back to you on that, but I have a damaged one already - after faffing around with trying to rebuild 1 good shock from 2 broken ones and then servicing it - it looks like I'm going to be better off getting hold of an aftermarket one in the first place.

Cheers
Jim
