I used my Vango Omega 350 for a two week trip last summer, and again this weekend. For one person it's ideal. I can sit quite comfortably in my Helinox copy chair, in the porch.

Just depends how friendly you are with your mates. Lol.

Cheers Dave
I looked at the Coastline 2 Plus and it definitely ticks all the boxes.

But because I often stay in one place for 2 weeks at a time I went for the Coastline 3 Plus as it's got up to 1.55m headroom- me being only 5' 8" its good enough for me to get bike gear on under cover. It's also got 3 doors instead of 2, one each side and one at the end. Good for any wind/rain direction.

It's already been out and very happy with it. Why I wanted the space was to have a porch 2 or 3 of us can sit in and when we were out it took 3 of us in comfort.

Also in good weather can open out all 3 doors so it's like a tarp/canopy meaning I won't be bringing the tarp and tarp poles. The end door opens out with poles to form a canopy. Lots of vents and all adjustable or can be closed if you wish.

7 kilos all in [comes with the porch poles and porch groundsheet] but I had a few bags of alloy tent pegs real cheap off eBay and swapped them for the heavy steel ones with a significant weight saving of about .2 kilos. My original 2 man tent, tarp /tarp poles and ground sheet added up to about 6.5 kilos anyway. If you want a lot lighter than you have to go alloy poles which you can pick up for about €150 for the three.

I usually have my tent to myself but that means most of my personal stuff can live in the sleeping area that's designed for 3 and where there's a mesh screen to keep out wasps and bees as I have an allergy to them.

If I travel with my friend as we do we now decided to only put up one tent on an overnight stopover. Plenty of room for two.

Coastline 3 plus will take a bike inside if you really want to, but who takes their bike to bed with them.....

Thanks all for your replies/offers. Been banged up at work all week, haven't had much time to look around, although now thinking about a smaller, quicker to erect tent (Kyham Highlander?) without a big porch (big enough for gear only) and just bashing up a tarp if there's shitty weather. Its for a summer trip in Europe, so fingers crossed there wont be too much rain.

I'll have a look and let you all know, cheers.
