There's plenty of time before departure I guessbond_yzf wrote:Oh I don't know I'll probably have something different then :laugh:Emf#53 wrote:I thought this was going to be the TAT bike?
Will you be taking the KTM now?
I'd really like to do the TAT next year - last big trip I did was when I shipped my bike to South America and followed the Dakar in 2015 - I'm due another big trip soon and the Mrs has given me a 6 week leave pass - only problem is work - no idea what project, if any, that I'll be working on next year :pinch:

Eh Jim, Stop fart arsing about and use the BM for the TAT. Lets face it the bike is already sorted and good to go. Failing that, why not have a proper challenge and do it on an old fart bike. No silly bloody electronics to worry about. Go on, you know you want to. Also there are plenty of spares and enthusiasts of these bikes in the USA.
PS, Gave the Matchless Comp a rebore as it was feeling a bit down and I knew that the piston was past its best but thought it would last for at least another twenty years. Turned out thee rings were gummed up and when they were freed off a chunk of the ring land dropped of the piston. Bike was still starting first kick but down on power.  All sorted now and getting suspension bushes and seals replaced. Still love riding these bikes.
Kept the recently acquired Ducati 750 for a bit of mucking about on. Fitted some adjustable bars to help my fixed wrist. BM is sat there getting jealous of the other bikes having all the attention. I hope you got the best ever KTM. A 400EXC, tough buggers and hard to break. (thumbs)
