looking at the engine casing damage I would assume that it lost oil and there is internal damage? it is £3000 below book value? something wrong here? is it a loss-leader for the dealer? is it a false advert to draw people to the dealership? is it an insurance write-off? is it a get-rid bike before an insurance claim?

too many questions.. I wouldn't touch it myself .. but then I am a very untrusting person (but still get caught with lemons? :S )

I agree with garyboy, if it was any good, someone at the dealers would have a buddy to pass that onto! Mileage is too low, what about the rest of the fleet. They are all the same age and mileage, why they not selling them????

If there is little wrong with it, just scratches etc, why isnt the dealer doing it,, uts fucked I reckon

Why do you think that, they have around 15 bikes and have just had new bikes, some of the bikes are low mileage and are ridden at the off-road school in South Wales , I don't think they are worried about bikes, as it's a official Honda off-road off-road centre in ynysbwl is South Wales, but based in Merthyr, I would imagine the dealer bought a batch cheap, it's common, a friend of mine is a ktm dealer and he gets phone calls from ktm offering ex demo bikes.

Fozzy you might be right, what's more worrying is that the other abused bikes get a makeover and sold on to some poor guy thinking he just bought a low mileage cared for bike. Best check log books 1st, but I know for a fact that they will be registered to Honda and sold as ex demo's! Sometimes things are not what they seem. Everyone wants a bargain, but a fool is easily parted from his money.

Guys I disagree 1700 miles is nothing , it's only light off-roading, mostly fire roads, hardly being hammered, I would have one in a heartbeat, they are looked after.

They've probably been serviced more times than any 17,000 mile road bike :side:
