Hi everbody, i have my 2004 xr400 for sale, yes i know i said was going to keep it last November but I'm still not using it and can't see that changing anytime soon so i want to move it on to a new home.
Its covered 3200 miles from new, 900 miles with the first owners ( in 1 year), 1000 miles with the next owner ( in 9.5 years ), and 1100 miles with me ( 2years 3 months).
Its showing 4200 on the clock which was working in Km until 3082 ( about 1900 miles) when a mph converter was fitted. it now reads 4200 so about 3226 miles.
i have most of the mots but it can all be checked online if you want to.
It is not perfect but is very very good.
its a standard Xr apart from the following.
Renthall fatbars, Apico bar risers, Acerbis handguards ( all done less than 100 miles )
Wide pegs, Decent bash plate ( can't remember who's)
Airbox mod, Acerbis rear fender bag
But the really good mods are
Talon hubs with Excell rims, so lighter, stronger and better looking than OEM
Electric start kit fitted with high output generated.
Good tyres fitted, chain and sprockets ok, MOTed ready to go!
With the bike i have a pair of standard Honda wheels with trials tyres and discs fitted, spare Honda front hub, spare front fender, unused HiFlo air filter and some other bits and bobs.
Im asking for what i think is a reasonable price but open to serious offers £2650 for everything.
Any questions please ask
Im based near Mallory Park Leicestershire if anybody wants to view it. Thank you for looking.
I forgot I've got a swingarm with shock linkage, a rear rack, another bashplate, a Hagon rear shock to lower the seat height. All included in the price.
If the bike sells on its own I will split the spares up if required.

Re: Honda Xr400
Someone will get a good deal here, I'm not buying as I have one...they are a fantastic cheap to run little bike, and would make a great lightweight adventure trail bike with little expense.
Re: Honda Xr400
very interesting, sold my ktm 400exc a couple of years ago and would quite like a bike to plod the lanes on again, but finding the right bike is difficult, yours seems to tick all the boxes, especially with the electric boot.
can i come to view, pm me your details and i can sort out coming over.
cheers

Re: Honda Xr400
My brother had a Honda XR400 and it was a brilliant bike other than being kickstart only. He fitted a very expensive electric start kit £1100! and then sold it and bought a KTM 400exc. I suspect out of all the bikes he has owned he misses his XR the most.
