Wanted - front end stuff for f800gs

Post by Dave DRZ »

I had a smash on my 2012 f800gs Triple Black and I'm looking for parts. Before I go to eBay of even BMW I though I'd ask on here to see if anyone has any spares knocking about that you would sell. So, in no particular order:
Front wheel
Brake disc - right hand side (if it matters?)
Forks
Triple clamp
Mud guard / fork protectors
Handle bars
Beak
Right hand side plastics - not sure what you actually call them. The bit under the headlight on the right hand side that attaches to the beak.

For most of these they don't need to be for the triple black, any f800gs up to 2013 should be ok.

So, has anyone got any of the above? I'd be very grateful if you could reply or pm me.

The accident took place in far, far eastern Turkey, near to the border with Armenia and Iran. I've not checked my MCE policy, but I don't think their cover goes that far

Loving your attitude Dave! Problem? Yes. Solution? Yes. Just getting on with it and giving it a go? Yes
If nothing else mate, just give yourself a bloody big pat on the back for that. Others would have crumbled in your situation.... Cheers

Get checking that Insurance Policy Dave.
Have you got anybody local who is helping you? I'm sure there are a few Turkish residents on UK bike forums including Expats.

I assume you bought Turkish insurance at the border unless you have a green card?

Have you got any contacts with the bike lads in Istanbul?

If you're on Facebook contact https://www.facebook.com/mehmet.avar.12?fref=ts
if you need advice or assistance as he knows everybody and everybody knows him.

Keep the faith.

Be assured, it always does work out. (thumbs)
