Wanted XT600

Post by XF650 » Tue Dec 09, 2014 5:51 pm

Thinking of buying an XT600 (no 660's please) if anyone is thinking of selling theirs?

Would also consider XT350/DR350/SP400 or the like?

Thanks! (thumbs)

What age you thinking of? I have a very tidy 1988 XT600Z Tenere I'm just preparing for sale?

Yeh, Love the TT model, best of the bunch, but all are good. Never managed to break an XT motor yet and believe me we have tried.
Bloody good tough motor.

A passing note.
The last bikes produced by BSA used the Yamaha 400 motor for export to Japan and the SR500 version was produced in tiny numbers and sold in the UK. Tried to buy one about two years ago but was out bid. A real modern day classic Gold Star. Put BSA SR500 into a search engine to see how these bikes looked. They were built using the very best parts available at the time.

Know all about the SR500s as I've had three of 'em, last one I sold to a mate 3 years ago after owning it for 10 years, fantastic bikes! (thumbs)

Hi, got an XT600E 02 in bits. Stripped it down for a total rebuild included fitting new rings and top end overhaul. Spent over £300 on new parts including New standard exhaust but just can't find the time. Andy
