i am going to tax my r1200gs for the summer and i have another 650 taxed so this bike is not going to get used for the rest of the year.

this is the bike today stripped for cleaning and servicing prior to sale.
i bought the bike a couple of years ago with 7k miles it now has 20,000,it has full service history and as you can tell by the photos it has been used for what it was built for.i have maintained it properly and it has been serviced prior to every big trip.it has heated grips and sw motec aux lights fitted .i have also fitted a power socket on the dash.today i have removed the bodywork to give it a proper clean and will service the bike,the service will be comprehensive and will include,oil/filter change,air filter,plugs,valve clearances checked/reshimmed as ness,coolant change,brake fluid change,wheel bearings and dust seal replacement front and rear,rear brake pads plus i will strip the rear suspension and grease all the bearings.in addition to that lot i will fit road tyres as tkc,s are not to everyones taste,i have a nearly new michilin rear i will fit and i will fit a matching front.oh i nearly forgot the bike also has hyperpro front fork springs.although the mot is not due till august i will have it tested so it has 12 months ticket.the touratech boxes/racks and tank bag are not included .£1350

the bike also has a taller touring screen fitted,the seat is going to tony archer tomorrow to be recovered as i noticed the cover had split where my boot caught it.so this bike will be tip top and ready to tour next week

I'm confused by that picture of the Elefant because cars aren't allowed anywhere near the site so how they got in the picture is a bit of a mystery :whistle:

if it had been much colder i think i would have died of exposure.
(no comments about incorrect kit etc,i had it, i was in it,on it and wearing it! and it was still fugging cold ) :laugh: :laugh:
