SOLD - 1991 Honda XL600V Transalp - SOLD

For Sale - 1991 Honda Xl600V Transalp

Image

This classic machine has been ridden by me & my sons over the past 7 years without any drama or breakdowns.
Its covered 50k miles but is still in great condition. Currently taxed till the end of February 2013, with an MOT that expires in March of the same year.
As well as the bike, this sale includes a box load of spares. I bought an insurance right off and salvaged everything I thought was usable . . . .which was everything except the engine (but I even saved several bits from that - stator, side cases, cylinder head covers etc). Spares include radiators, water system hoses, electrical loom, ignition coils, handle bar switchs etc etc etc. I even saved the bodywork, and turned it into something personal . . . .

This bodywork has seen better days, but is still usable. I only recently took it off of the bike and re-fitted the original bodywork, which is in perfect condition.
I have just finished a full service on the bike, changing the oil & filter (done every 4k miles), all 4 plugs, checking valve clearances, cleaning and balancing the carbs. Whilst I was at it I cleaned and re-painted the rear subframe and the front fork legs, cleaned and re-greased all the rear suspension bearings, front & rear wheel bearings, and lubed all the cables. The brakes have also had a full service and fluid change. The tyres have plenty of useful life left in them, as have the chain & sprockets. The bike has a Scott Oiler fitted – helps keep the chain in good order, given an extended chain life.

This little lot is for sale as one lot for the reasonable sum of £1050.

Collection will be required, as the spares fill a rather large plastic box which really won’t bungy to the back of the bike  ;)

Please note that the ProDuro exhaust and the Givi top box are NOT included in the sale.

EDIT - For the bike without all the spares - £900

Very true - had a lot of fun on the machine, but . . . . . .

Next, Sir, would hopefully be another set of wheels from the Honda stable . . . . . probably a younger, slightly larger capacity version of the 'Alp ;)

Steve, it's a cracking bike with plenty of spares, at a great price. It won't hang around long B)
