have you googled up "ard cases" seem good value for the money

From what i have heard everyone thinks the Yamaha ones are sh.t .

To be fair to them they look nice and they're waterproof but if you want something to use as crash bungs off road then they're not up to the job. I had problems with the original locks on mine and the latches were over complicated to put it mildly but I had the locks changed under warranty and sold them for a reasonable price.

I've had no problems with the Yamaha top box and it's big enough to take a full face crash helmet so if anyone gets offered one at a sensible price I'd say go for it.

its not so much the panniers as i like the unobtrusive mounts on the yam ones

Make sure you don't lose the rubber bungs because Yamaha will sting you for a new set of carriers rather than sell the bungs on their own.
