SOLD: Honda SL230, Japanese import, UK registered, 1999, £2500

[*]I bought this lovely bike from an importer back in December. It’s a rare Honda SL230, basically Honda’s version on the Serow.
Lovely low seat height, 21 front wheel, rear wheel is tubeless, great bash plate, rear rack, and weighs only about 110kg wet!
Since having it I gave it a good service with new oil, plug and filter, just for my own piece of mind, also I fitted heated grips and a +1 front sprocket for better road use.
It’s a belter of a little bike and has only done 9,200 km from new.
I’ve done about 600 miles on it and it has returned an average of 85mpg!!! Clocks in Kms.
The only bad points that I can tell are that the rear rack has a tiny bit drilled out from it where I fitted a topbox plate, and the front forks have slight markings on it.
So, if it’s so good, why sell it? Well, I can pretty much do everything on my C90 these days and have even done North Wales and back so it doesn’t fulfil any gap in my stable anymore.

That bike reminds me of a nadgery climb in the Peak district over 10 years ago, our ktm exc's and honda crf's where strewn at the side of the trail when a 74 year old trials rider on his sl230 rode all the way up past fallen riders without a single dab ...... a real pleasure to see his skills

Just to reiterate this is a great bike. Dry weight of only 106kg. Rubber mounted foot pegs, windshield, brilliant front light and a range of 180 miles on a 10l tank of petrol
