Insulated tent

Post by gspod »

https://www.cruaoutdoors.com/products/crua-hybrid

Anybody tried one of these yet?
The website is not that informative - doesn't give internal measurements or packed up size.
Also wondering how comfy the bed is and just how warm they are?

Thanks

I don't see the point if used as a normal tent.My £45 Karrimor tent goes up in inner and outer together and has more space inside.I might consider it for sleeping in the jungle but that's about it.

Yes I'm going to ask about dimensions and pack size, just wondered if anybody had tried one. I'm not worried about erection time - i've a small Khyam that goes up in 5 minutes. I'm really interested in the insulation and how warm it will be for winter camping - this is definitely not a tent for the jungle though :D

It's a shame they don't make a 2 man size - but I think they're a young company so maybe on the cards.

Cheers

I can't see how it is insulated,it's only got a mesh inner. With a thermal mattress thrown inside and the sleeping bag is only rated to -6c at the best.

Someone could make a killing if they could design a soundproof tent.
You'd sell em by the thousands at bike rallies and music festivals alone, either for keeping the sound out while you get a good nights sleep,
or for those embarrassing noisy drunken rally shagging moments
