i've tried camp beds--including the real lightweight ones--but two problems--the feet can push through the base of the tent and they take up space--height in the tent and also on the bike. Its ok if you have a big tourer and can carry the kitchen sink--big tent etc--but if you are on a lightweight AND trail riding such things simply don't work. The Lidl product is certainly not a throw away and offered excellent comfort for a 9 inch long by 3 inch diameter pack size--whats not to like!

Just bought a wild earth mattress, not self inflating, but takes just a dozen puffs to inflate. The beauty of it is it packs 9"×3", and weighs nothing, hopefully the right choice, will keep you posted.... :D
