Screwed up with the number--here is the correct one--they are in pairs in 3 short sections per pair giving 56 inches height--at under 8 quid a pair I've ordered two pairs so that I can add an extra section for more height if required-or have it sloping--20,0 mm diameter aluminium 282548490131

Thanks for the poles Tramp, they are perfect, really appreciate it I owe you a beer or three. I got Phil a few beers over the weekend... but i don't think that counts as they were out of the free bucket !

I use one of these monopods -
Monopod
With the walking stick end -
Knob
With the added advantage that you can use it as a monopod whilst out & about. It extends to 170cm & is pretty strong - you could use it as one of your tarp poles, or buy 2...

Several years ago I posted on UKGSer about nesting tarp poles from a Dutch camping shop

They where somewhat expensive due to the shipping costs, but still might be worth a look
