view the tents.

wot I dun wen I wanted a tent was to `Go Outdoors`
there is one in Cardiff (one in Basingstoke) and got a great display of erected tents to view outdoors. as well as a very good selection of gear/accessories inside the large store.
the range and quality of the tents is not all that good tbh but gives a very good starter view, and the equipment is very good.

Blacks is better but more difficult to find a tent display store these days.

both seem to have sales on at mo.

+1 for going to a Go Outdoors shop. You will see a decent enough range of tents to let you establish what you don't want as well as clues to what you do.
They keep some RAB sleeping bags so again a view of what size/bulk money buys.
Do not walk out with a tent and bag under your arm ---- !!!!
