Well I'm in the club then - but maybe the 'Elite' class as for the last four every one has been smaller and lighter - I'm now working my way to under 1kg

Meanwhile, I love tent topics - even though they're a bit like Christmas TV, always the same old films (and why not!) - you meet so many great folks out there with such diverse opinions, always elegantly put - I only wish I'd got my twopenn'th in earlier

About 800 quidsworth.

You can do Vango Omega 350 with a far better waterproof rating (5000mm v 3000mm)+ vango tarp for 190 quid.(fantastic quality & DofE award)
Slightly heavier build from tougher Ripstop weave cloth.

P.S. there is no cure for Tentaholics :silly:
no thanks ill stick with the hilleberg

Ullapool by chance?? :S

An unbelievable night, possibly my worst night in a tent

I was using my Vaude TerraTrio, which held up against the weather very well, unlike some other makes that didn't.

Been using it for a few years now, faultless and recommended (thumbs)

I have changed tents 3 times in the last 3 years, had a Phad which I really liked but in a moment of madness sold it and got a Torres XL which was a good tent similar to the Hilleberg in tunnel design but I doubt quality. Sold that and bought a Luxe Mini peak 2, super quick erection :woohoo: and lightweight but the teepee centre pole design didn't suit me. Now back with another semi geodesic coleman, come full circle it seems. I may add a tarp but not sure yet.
Finally back on a GS :D
