Pillows

Post by GB »

I think we all have an idea of what sleeping bag, sleeping mat or tent we need or have but what about pillows? I have my Thermarest mat, my Luxe tent which pack up small and are relatively light but I'm missing a pillow. I tried a cheap inflatable one which packs up small but i found it uncomfortable, got a karrimor one from sports direct which is so so comfortable but a largish ack size, there must be something out there that is comfortable and small pack size? Ive tried rolling up clothes and kit but once it flattens down its useless.
Finally back on a GS :D

I had the same question earlier this year and was pointed this way.

http://www.nemoequipment.com/product/?p ... oss+Green)

This is not cheap but it is simply perfect in every way. I have a bad neck so I must have a decent pillow and this is bar far the best I have ever seen or used.

When it comes to pillows skimping is not a good idea.

While away this year I tried using a sheepskin to sit on.
I found a whole one in the bottomof the airing cupboard so just plonked it on the bike. Very comfy to sit on.
But even more comfy rolled up as a pillow!
This became so important to me that i would stop and put it away if it looked like rain so I'd have a dry pillow :)

I have a Vango half moon pillow that is ridiculously comfy. I like a firm pillow when in bed but a soft one when camping, so the Vango one is ideal for that. Vango make really good gear, I think.
