Firebox Stove - Advice Needed

I've used all manner of solid fuel stoves, hex,kelly,volcanoes, chinese jet boils, and meths stoves. The most convenient and easy packed are the hex stoves and the compact gas stoves with remote cylinder. The trouble with the solid fuel stoves is soot on your pans. Solution for cleaning is to coat the outside of the pan with a good( loads of lanolin) washing up liquid before use. A used tea bag easily removes the soot.
I mainly use the gas stove now, or find someone who's got one on the go

Having been away at Donington Park camping at the weekend and surrounded by stoves of all kinds and a lot of petrol ones everyone gravitated over to my little gas one with the remote gas cartridge. I saw the other stoves in use but for a cuppa by the time you get the gas out of the tank, get the stove going, clean your hands of petrol so you don't flavour your tea it was a big thumbs up for gas. Tea was brewed before the petrol stoves were even fired up and then dirty black pots to clean afterwards. I also have a little adaptor so I can use any type of gas canister.

We had great fun.......

I just received this from China off Ebay today. It was only £12.82 but it isn't cheap crap. I've already bought one of their other models last year and was so impressed I decided to get a second one. This is the Aotu T8 and I've just tested it boiling a mug of water in three minutes.

I bought one of those late last year and it is superb, only problem was like most things Chinese it took ages to arrive.

I noticed a well known camping equipment store slls the same product at three times the price.

I would be even more impressed if it had a built in pietzo ignitor, but I can't grumble and am well happy with the stove and the controlbility of the flame/heat for cooking

Mine arrived in only 10 days.I didn't realise this one didn't have a pietzo ignitor when I ordered it but my other one does and I still carry a lighter anyway as most of my camping is wild camping in the mountains and I don't want to then find out it isn't working.I'm sure my other stove is just a Vango without the name and at least half the price.
