Thoughts on Airoh Commander Adventure Helmet?

Post by paulcobb72 »

Hi guys

Been trying out a few in store and looking online, and I like the Airoh Commander helmet for the price point, what do you think?

https://buyhelmets.online/collections/m ... 7731936304

I like the yellow colour too,

Anyone had an Airoh helmet before and what are your thoughts on them? Would anyone suggest another similar priced helmet for the spec or?

Thanks

Whilst not an Adventure style helmet, I had an Airoh MX helmet that I used for Supermoto which was very light and comfortable.
However, used on a Rally Raid event I found that the aperture was small and it caused the goggles to pinch my nose and restrict breathing.
I then ended up breathing through my mouth which wasn’t ideal.

They do seem to be good quality, just not right for my face.

Used them for years racing enduro bikes. Very light but maybe too lightweight for road use unless these are substantially more heavy duty. I had my helmet on my footpeg while chilling out and bike fell over and broke the chin guard. Bike was a 450exc.

I've had one for a few months now, and very happy with it
I bought it to replace a tired feeling Shoei so a bit unfair, but it feels more 'right' and a nice quality feel with good positive visor mechanism and plush lining etc.
The visor also big enough to give good peripheral vision. The vents are a bit like every other helmet vent in that I can hardly tell the difference when open or closed - but that might just be me?
It isn't mega light in the spec, but certainly doesn't feel heavy on.

The only bit I'm not keen on is the tinted visor thing it's got. The wind swirls around it making my eyes water, and touches my normal sized (in my opnion😁) nose when down, so will look at binning that bit and save a bit of weight instead.

All in all would buy again though 👍
