Hi.
Anyone bought/used one of these? Just wondering how warm they are compared to a heated jacket.

are these the blow up type bubble wrap things-if so saw them at the Overland show. basically a waistcoat and you can't inflate it too much otherwise you won't move--and you will also suffer from condensation--a poor substitute for a decent down jacket I think(which you can wear when you stop)--unlike the other idea which will make you look like a bit of a £$at. I would try a gillet of big cell bubble wrap first--cut off a length, cut a hole for your head in the middle--and tie around your waist with a bit of para chord--just my Five cents worth!

I tend to agree. Thought about one for a long trip due to small pack size versus an electric jacket but I suspect a decent down jacket would suffice and as you say doubles up as an off bike jacket.
