I brought a Nishua full carbon helmet (old uvex mild etc) from https://m.louis-moto.co.uk/artikel/nish ... met/215086 about a year and half ago. Great helmet very light and airy, only down side is, there only one vent on the forehead area. Pinlock etc
£180 delivered, was on offer at the time.
Superb buy.
I reckon KLIM have jumped on the bandwagon as it looks exactly the same bar a few colour changes on the detailing
Anyone got a Klim Krios helmet?

Re: Anyone got a Klim Krios helmet?
An interesting couple of days.
The Klim is fantastically light and comfortable but maybe feels slightly insubstantial? Only a gut feeling. I still had it on my short list. It is quite aggresively styled, which maybe doesn't suit a 62 year old green lane plodder as well as 20 something enduro god.
The AGV AX8 was, for my head, mind bogglingly uncomfortable. Great looking lid but even trying small and medium, it just didn't suit me. That's not to say it would be ok for someone with the right head shape.
In the end, I succumbed to the charms of the Arai Tour X4 in Vision Grey (subject to availability) A little bit heavier than the other two but the fit was just perfect and, as I have been using an Arai road lid for years without any issues, familiarity won. I have wasted too much money on helmets that don't suit me. I did feel the chinguard was a tad closer but reviews say the ventilation is excellent and someone gave it 5 stars after wearing it on the BMW Off Road experience so that is good enough for me.
It also has a much less aggressive design so don't feel I have to be putting in 10m flights off speed humps.
Thanks for everyones input.

It's a shame the Shoei ADV doesn't fit you. I have one and it's brilliant. Even the peak doesn't seem to cause turbulence at motorway speeds.
But they say you have a Shoei or Arai shaped head !
Do Airho do an adventure lid? I really rate them as well.

Re: Anyone got a Klim Krios helmet?
I orginally had an Airoh S4 which then wore out but the replacement S5 was hardly ever available.
The visor did intrude a lot when open and the linings compressed very quickly but was still an all day helmet.
Did the two weeks in India in perfect comfort so fine for my irregular riding days.
I did have high hopes for the Shoei Adv but at least my Hornet fits after a fashion. The Adv was plain awful, which was a shame.

I'd rather not spend what I am but economy hasn't aerved me well in the past.
I don't necessarily subscribe to the 'spend for safety' ethos though.
Klim are taking the p*** as the original Uvex was only £170 ish.

I'm a shoei hornet fan I love mine it fits my melon head really well I've 5 helmets pit away as they fitted when purchased bit were dreadful on the open road shame you can't simulate a road test before buying
