Touring boots wide feet

Post by Mike54 »

Any recs? Not daytona's, I have a high instep too and they don't fit correctly, cant zip them up. Not a fan of that style anyway really, so looking for some short-ish boots for alpine touring. need to be waterproof. Up to £300, want good quality. Not altbergs.

Mike, I have the same problem but find that Forma boots are very comfortable, light and waterproof. (thumbs)

Same with me. Gave up on motorcycle boot for a while, switched to british army cold weather boots in wide fitting. Very comfortble to walk around in but probably not as protective or hard wearing as bike boots.
Swapped to Forma Adventure Lows last year, plenty of toe wiggle room, very comfy and so far waterproof. But like any lined boot I suppose it's only a mater of time before the do leak.

Why not Altbergh?
Had a pair of these for 5 years with no issues. Very comfy (and I have wide feet).

Why not support your local retailers and go and try boots on.

I have numerous mates in retail, that's not the issue. The issue is that most shops do not stock boots for wide feet, hence asking for recommendations so I can find who stocks them and then TRY THEM ON

Another vote for Forma boots, I have wide feet and arthritis and these boots offer all day comfort and decent protection.
