It took about 5 years of fairly continuous wear but eventually the stitching around the left toe area went. The goretex still made them waterproof but after a trip to Cornwall last year (where it didn't let up for 2 solid days) it was like trying to walk wearing a balloon. They stank after that so had to go in the bin.

I should have saved the straps :oops:
