Mine squeak from the plastic joints and also the rear sliding tongue at the back of the boot. A quick spray with silicone will silencer it for a while

You can see the gear change pad in the photo in this thread:
22-clothing/531333-is-it-possible-to-re ... upper.html

I loved mine and while they were only 30k miles old, over 50% of these were off road in Morocco and Mongolia amongst other trips. I killed them while living in them in rivers (aka Mongolia) however, as you can see in the picture the gear change pad is still perfect.

Life has interrupted my need to repair them, but I love them and would likely buy again.

I would also be looking your gear lever as well as blaming boots. Has it got a rubber bung over it? If so is it in good condition and stopping your boot connecting with rough metal? Is the lever loose on the splines so has excessive movement to change gear and so rubbing on the boots. Check if Anything else amiss.?

Or something like neatsfoot oil, or other leather treatment. Whack it on liberally and the squeaks stop.

I use Ledergrease from Altburg on all my boots and shoes. Just rub it into all the nooks and crannies, behind the buckle etc.....

I do all my boots and shoes about every 8 weeks - no squeak from the Sidis' and keeps them waterproof.

I have a pair but have just broken one of the straps and can't find a replacement as they are the old style as shown .
