Spada Intrepid Adventure Helmet... Anybody got one?

Post by KTM Deano »

After dropping my bike last year onto my Schuberth helmet and cracking it  I'm looking at getting a new helmet.

I don't really want to spend a huge fortune so I've been looking at the current range of helmets on offer. What I do want is for it to have pin-lock and a drop down internal sun visor.

The Spada Intrepid seems to tick the boxes (and nobody could argue with the price at around Β£90) but I'd like to know if anyone here has one and what they think of it.

I'd also be interested in any recommendations...

I had one briefly before someone drove over the top of it.

It came up a bit small so trying them first is obviously the thing to do. I found the sun visor didn't come down far enough and crossed my vision diagonally. Pity really as it looked way cool.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

I've got the sting which is the former helmet without the sun visor being going strong for a couple of years now and size XL a good/regular fit on me. A mate has the intrepid in camo picked it up for Β£60 again no issues (thumbs)

For the money it's a good helmet, how often would you wear it?

Mine started to fall apart after about 9 months of heavy use. Ive replaced with a Nexx which is going strong after 7 months. Swings & roundabouts. I got 4 years out of my last Arai but you pays your money

Mods not sure why this ended up here

My current helmet is identical to a spada sting and is the most comfortable helmet I've ever had.

I've got one in black and white. It's a decent helmet for the price, but I only paid Β£50. Good quality finish. Comfortable now,but I didn't find it so the first few times I wore it. The peak is really useful in the Sun,but a pain when its windy! Visor's not on a ratchet system, but it's either fully up or down,as I find the curve can distort your vision? I agree with Brenhden, the sun visor doesn't drop down enough. And it's quite noisy. Good fitting earplugs solve that problem, but then I can't hear that lovely Triumph Triple!! :P But for the price, can't really complain ;)

Thanks for all the advice. I'll get myself over to MotoCentral near me and try one on as soon as I get some time off work.
