Re: £170 No Fear MX Boots for £60 at Sports Direct...
Hmmm.. Im looking for a pair of boots to wear on the R1100GS after I sold the forma adventures for being a bit tight... only thing thats putting me off buying these is that them being mx boots theyre gonna be quite rigid and a bit awkward to ride in .. anybody use mx boots on the road ?

I've bought a pair and they are great value. They are stiff and awkward to walk in and you will need to adjust the gear change lever probably.all in all a bargain

I guess that No Fear have gone bust and Sports Direct have bought the name... Like they seem to have done with Karimor, Lonsdale and any number of other brands. Karimor used to be a top notch mountaineering brand, now it's just cheap trainers that look like walking boots and Sports Direct living on the legacy.
As for these MX boots - check online, is anyone else selling them? Has anyone ever sold them for £170? They may well be worth £60, but don't kid yourself about grabbing a bargain.

I have bought MX boots for road/green lane use & they are OK.
I have also bought online similar types of boot for £45.00
The lack of description is telling.
Fundamentally; are they waterproof...does anyone know?
Good find though...I wonder if there is other biking gear available?
...and there is!!!
http://www.sportsdirect.com/no-fear-wat ... e=63833790 £29 for a rainsuit...I recall a similar price in infinity motorcycle shops ...and refer to DaveDRZ's post...don't kid yourself you have a bargain...Jkay...are these boots waterproof?

these have a whiff of Aldi bike boots...which are fine...but priced at less than these boots...but they don't have the "all important" NO FEAR stamped on them...which, as we all know can change your riding speeds, by lightening your wallet..thus making you faster!

Karrimor SF is still top quality. It's made under licence for the special forces. The karrimor sf sabre rucksack are second to none. As for the rest of the stuff like Dave says load of shite. I used to be a big follower of the karrimor brand. I've learned with sports direct anything decent isn't any cheaper than anywhere else
