Which boots ?
Hi all , I'm fairly new to riding but wondered if anybody can advise me on a decent pair of boots ? I'm after a comfortable breathable waterproof touring style boot if it exists ? The only ones I've seen so far are the RST adventure boots , don't know if they are any good ? I don't mind paying more but just want opinions please on the best OR atleast a decent pair ? Thanks

Re: Which boots ?
Road-only: TCX Infinity GoreTex.
Trail riding: Any MX boot with a gripper sole + sealskinz socks or the army surplus equivalent...or just resign yourself to wet feet.

Are the infinity road just for winter or could you wear them all year round do you think ? They're £260ish everywhere but sportsbikeshop has them on offer for £170 at the mo , if they are just winter ones then I probably won't go for them for the sake of a month or so ?

Re: Which boots ?
I wear mine all year around. Being goretex stops them getting too horrible. They are a top quality boot.
But any proper motorcycle boot is going to be quite hot in summer...unless you get those ventilated road-race ones that are useless at any other time.

Re: Which boots ?
I have had plenty of boots in recent years a lot depends on what you want them to do
Plenty of walking off the bike then Altbergs are good but do not have the same protection as a pure M/C boot
TCX Infinity are a very good boot plus there warm and dry
Army extreme weather gore tex are a good cheap all-round alternative to Altbergs
Your only in warrington so go to Adventurebike Warehouse just of the east lancs road before you get in to Manchester Gaz or Chris will sort you out
Or you could get a pair of these

There the best I have ever used without doubt

Another one for Altberg. Mine are 15 or 16 years old. Been refurbed once and now are due for retirement. The have been totally neglected but are like my favourite slippers. All day comfort and have done countless miles in the hills.
