Witness to motorbike crash today

Post by tea007 »

So this morning at 0800 I picked my boss up from old Sarum in salisbury and did the cut through up snaky hill to the crossroads of the a360 / avenue
This is a busy x junction at the time of day with cars filtering through the middle it can get a wee bit dodgy
A van 3 cars in front had not got all the way across when I arrived
When he moved off I looked to my right and seen a 125 coming along and looked through the car in front and started shouting no no no no
Bang
The 125 had no chance hit the side of the yellow polo and was flung down the road 20 yards or so
I applied hand brake with my commandant shouting go go go
I ran straight across to the biker who thankfully was conscious
My army head kicked in and thankfully a fellow biker pulled up and slowed the traffic down
After working out that she couldn't hear me for hear iPod a couple of other lads came to help
I ran back to car as I had poncho in the boot
I got this rapped round her with out moving her as the ground was wet and kept talking to her and finding out where the pain was coming from
I kept talking to her and called her mum as she wanted to tell her
The ambulance car arrived first and briefed him on
Age
Sex
Pain
She was a female 21 years old ,truly am gutted for her
The other female that pulled out was screaming so I asked her to be moved to one side as not to distress the girl on the ground
I'm going to go up to hospital tomorrow to see how she is
Contact was left femur so fingers x
Thankfully she was wearing good helmet/jacket/trousers/boots and gloves

I think we need more educational adverts about bikes
The old look once look twice wear good
Bring them back

That's really bad news about the accident, not something that's nice to see or do. Bad good news about people being there with the knowledge and persuasion to wade in and help (thumbs)

Well done Tea007.

It is one thing the Military does for you and that is to just get on with what needs doing.

Not good to see mate, mad when U can see what's
Going to happen but U cant do nowt about it. U
did your bit and I'm sure the lass will be very
thankful for that, good on ya tea. (thumbs)

I remember on my way to Takoda for a rally, one
Cold icy morning, not far from home noticed a
scooter coming the other way, bloody car up her
Arse, she indicated left but didn't slow enough
Because of the car pressuring her, I saw the
Drain covers, she never and ended up on her arse
Trapped under the bike, car didn't stop, she was
Shook up but ok, dad was a biker so she had the
Gear on, half hour it took me to get her on her
Way, never saw a sole, just as well I was passing.

Let us know how she's getting on after your visit
To the hospital mate. (thumbs)

At least you were there to help her, I once saw a couple knocked off a bike & first thing joe public wanted to do was take their helmets off so they could hear what they were saying!!
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***

It's never nice to see or hear about such things. Glad you were able to help Tea, and hope the young woman is ok.
