Looking for a helmet

Post by Famous »

As above

I'm looking for an offroad helmet that has a flip front

Or a flip front with a decent peak

Any suggestions as I'm not seeing any on my search

+1 for the Tourmax - I LOVE mine!

Meets all the standards - comes with the Pinlock etc too - very comfy, not particularly loud, looks good - fits a blue tooth unit nicely, excellent price, good quality. And fabulous for glasses wearers like me!

Give it a try on before you buy though - there are certain head shapes that don't seem to get on well with Cabergs - but if it fits lovely - you're laughing.

Was looking at the Nexx adventure helmet. Never rode with an adventure helmet, so I'm a bit apprehensive changing from Schuberth.

When you say flip front do you mean you want one where the hole front of the helmet flips up, or do you mean a flip up visor?

That^^^ ... If your head fits one they are great...mine has been my favourite lid for a while and sensibly priced too..

Thanks for the replies (thumbs)

The flip up front I meant is the chinbar like the caberg

I will try & find a dealer where I can try one for size as fitting seems to be an issue.

I'd a look for other manufactures but this style of helmet doesn't appear that popular

Another one for the caberg! always wore arai but didn't want to spend to much for the helmet and after wearing it for the past six months I will be sticking with this for good

I believe Schuberth are launching a version with a peak this autumn? Looks like the peak goes up with the flip front and is removable. Expensive but good write ups.
